The Oner department took the first place in the rating of educational programs of Kazakhstani universities –2018 under the program 5B040900 - Choreography and 5B040600 - Directing. From 2003 to the present, the department is headed by Ph.D., associate professor Tleubaeva Balzhan Seidramanovna. The department accepts students in the specialty "Choreography" (bachelor of choreography) in the specialization "Pedagogy of Choreography".
On the specialty "5В040600-Direction" prepare future directors of the drama theater. Teacher-directors hold a wide variety of events at the regional, city, university scale, provide practical and methodological assistance in theatrical mass performances and shows.
