Academic mobility at the department is implemented through internal and external mobility, summer and winter schools.
The direction of the educational policy of the department “International Tourism and Service” is implemented in expanding internationalization with foreign universities and organizations. In December 2022, a memorandum of cooperation was signed with the Patrice Lumumba Russian State University of Peoples' Friendship and the Russian State University of Tourism and Service (Moscow) providing for the opening of joint double-degree educational programs, academic mobility of teaching staff and students . Lectures are given by Doctor of Geographical Sciences, Professor of the Higher School of Tourism and Hospitality of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "Russian State University of Tourism and Service" (Moscow) to give lectures to students in the educational program 6B11110-Tourism, 7M11110-Tourism, 5B090200-Tourism, 6В11111-Restaurant and hotel business. Afanasyev O.E. is a leading specialist in the field of tourism and hospitality. Numerous publications show a high level of scientific activity that is relevant in the field of modern tourism and hospitality.
To expand international collaborations in the global academic and scientific space, as well as integration in international communities, the Department of International Tourism and Service establishes and maintains international relations with foreign organizations in the field of education and science.
In order to improve their skills, exchange experience, and also create new international connections, teaching staff of the departments participate in various international events, incl. seminars, round tables, webinars and conferences, festivals, etc. As part of academic mobility and the ErasmusMundus+ program, they study in countries near and far abroad, as well as in universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan (University of Economics Varna, Bulgaria, Varna). (University of Turiba, Riga, Latvia), (A. Cuza University of Iasi, Romania, Iasi), Balikesir University (Republic of Turkey), Upper Silesian University of Economics named after L.V. Korfantogo, Katowice (Poland), Akdeniz University (Republic of Turkey). During the period from November 01-28, 2021, students and undergraduates of the department of gr. They were trained at the international winter school “RUDN Youth forum leaders of Eurasia 2021” on the basis of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (Moscow).
